TRAVELLING FROM NEW BRUNSWICK:
By Ferry (Option from Canadian mainland) *We recommend that you NOT plan on taking the last ferry of the day in case you aren’t able to get on.

From Letete, NB take the Ferry to Deer Island

From Deer Island take East Coast Ferries to Campobello.

***Fuel is available on Deer Island. Please make sure to have a full tank before arriving on Campobello. There are no fuel stations on Campobello.

DRIVING:

Take Route 1 from St. John N.B. or Route 3 from Fredericton to St. Stephen N.B.. Cross the border to Calais, Maine and follow Route 1 South towards Whiting. Turn left onto Route 189 towards Lubec. Cross the International Bridge to Campobello Island.

From the International Bridge:

Follow Route 774 for 2.6 miles and turn right to stay on Route 774. Stay on Route 774 for 5.2 miles. Pollock Cove will be on your left.

Travelling from United States:

Take 1-95 North to Bangor, Maine.

Take exit 6A to merge onto Route 1A East towards Ellsworth. In Ellsworth take Route 1 to Whiting.

Turn Right onto Route 189 and follow into Lubec to the International Bridge leading to Campobello.

+ Do I need a passport to visit Campobello?

Yes! Campobello is a Canadian island. Passports are required!


+ How do I make a reservation?

+ Is there ferry service to Campobello?

Guests travelling from New Brunswick can take the ferry to Campobello. Deer Island Ferry & East Coast Ferries run from Deer Island and then to Campobello.


+ What is the temperature like on Campobello? Do you have fans or air conditioning?

Since we are right on the ocean there is often a breeze during the summer. There are some warmer days along with cooler ones. Each bedroom is equipped with a fan and the windows are able to be opened.

Cottages 1-5 have an air conditioner in the living room and fans can be used to cool down the bedrooms.

Cottages 6-11 are one room units with the air conditioner in either the wall or window.

Cove House and Cooks Point House have fans in the bedrooms and livingroom. They do not have air conditioning.

+ Can we bring our dog?

Yes, we welcome up to 2 dogs per cottage/house with an additional fee. We do ask that your pet(s) not be left alone in any unit and that they are leashed while outside on the property in order to respect everyone's comfort level.


+ Where can we eat on the island?

Cottages 1-9, Cooks Point House and Cove House are set up with kitchens. Cottages 10 & 11 are set up with a mini fridge, coffee pot and microwave. Many guests bring groceries and cook during their visit.

+ What is there to do on Campobello?

We could go on and on but here are some ideas to get you started. Sightseeing Tours, Golf, Whale Watching, Fishing & Boat Tours, Stargazing, Bird Watching, Beachcombing, Lighthouse Exploring, Bike, Walk or Ride the Roosevelt Trails, Visit the Roosevelt Campobello International Park, Run the Bay of Fundy Marathon, Fogfest Music Festival, Gift Shopping, Watch for whales, seals and eagles from shore, Explore the bottom of the ocean floor at low tide. Discover Herring Cove Provincial Park trails.


+ Will we see whales from shore?

We often see and hear whales from our spot on Passamaquoddy Bay. Captain Riddle has daily whale watches that will get you out on the water for a close-up view. Don't forget to watch for seals and fish jumping!


+ Do the cottages have internet? Do you have televisions?

In August 2022 we updated out WiFi to Starlink for more consistent service. Each of the cottages and houses have a television.


+ Where can we get groceries?

Nikki’s Island Convenience is just next door and has a wide variety of options. Mack's Island Grocery is a larger grocery store not far from us that has some prepared foods. If you cross into Lubec, ME there is a larger grocery store in town.


+ Do you have BBQ grills? Do you have picnic tables?

There are grills for each cottage and house with the exception of cattages 10 & 11 that share 1 grill. We have some picnic tables throughout the property and are currently working on adding more.


+ Where can we get fuel on Campobello?

Unfortunately, there is no fuel station on the island. Please make sure to fill up your gas tank on Deer Island or in Lubec before coming to Campobello.


+ Do I bring my own linens?

Both bedding and bath towels are provided. However, beach towels are not provided. We do provide darker colored towels to use for pets when needed.


+ What should I pack to bring with me?

Our past guests have found these items helpful.

+ What are the kitchens stocked with?

Our kitchens are stocked with the basic essentials: pots & pans, dishes, glasses, mugs, utensils, potholders, dish towels, sponges, soap, microwave, stove or hot plate, coffee pot that uses round filters, tea kettle, toaster, fridge and BBQ grill. **We do not keep food or staples of any kind in the kitchens between guests.


  • Full stove with oven (Cottages 1,2,3,4,5,9, Cooks Point House, Pollock Cove House)
  • Hot Plate instead of oven (Cottages 6,7 & 8)
  • Cottages 10 & 11 have a mini fridge, microwave & coffee pot.
 

Policies:

CANCELLATION POLICY: Free cancellation is available up to 7 days prior to check-in. Cancellations with less than 7 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of check-in time or No-shows receive no refund of the initial deposit. In the case of a reservation modification within the same season, your deposit can be applied. HOTEL TERMS: Check in is at 3:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.

PET POLICY:  We welcome up to 2 dogs per cottage or house with an additional nightly fee. We kindly request that pets not be left alone in cottages, houses or cars and be leashed while outside on the property.

SMOKING POLICY: All cottages and houses are non-smoking. This includes vaping. Any violation will result in a $250 cleaning charge.
